You’re Invited
Please join us for our signature event—Growing the Future: The Promise of the School Garden Movement on September 16th from 6 to 9pm at Auburn Valley State Park in Hockessin, Delaware.
The main goal of this event is to raise awareness for HFHK, raise funds to support our school garden program, and celebrate our success with our amazing community of friends.
On September 16 we will honor the work of our 40+ School Garden Coordinators and hear from our incredible keynote speaker,
Brianne Studer, Director of Programs, at Washington Youth Gardens (WYG).
Join us for food, wine, music and fun to celebrate “Education Cultivation” for 17,000+ students statewide. Your involvement
helps us raise important funds to keep our program and the school garden movement strong (and growing!) in Delaware.

How You Can Help
Our IMPACT
School garden programs work! Learn more about how HFHK is creating a proven healthier future for today’s kids. We love watching students grow in their understanding of gardening science as well as their love of vegetables.
Our SCHOOL
GARDEN PROGRAM
Our program is specifically designed to fit into the academic year and promote student health. HFHK’s Education Cultivation program provides hands-on gardening activities through lessons that support Delaware State learning standards. Students experience “seed to table” growing each spring AND fall, and EAT fresh vegetables they’ve grown in their cafeterias.
